Mrs. Lee comes from a long line of excellent cooks, learning her secrets from her mother and grandmother. She came to the U.S. from South Korea in 1977, and spent years working in her sister's restaurant in Cambridge. After raising 3 boys, Mrs. Lee pursued her dream and opened Dah-Mee in July of 2000. She has been creating delicious Korean, Japanese, and Thai dishes ever since. In 2003, Ming Tsai featured Mrs. Lee and her kimchi recipes on his show "Simply Ming" on the Food Network.
Mrs. Lee's talents have now been passed on to the next generation of Lees. In 2005, Mrs. Lee's 3 sons, Dennis, Daniel & David, opened Namu Restaurant in San Francisco.
